Exhibition in INDY on New Year's Day!

^This is where we'll be playing on January 1st (from 6 to 9pm). Invite your friends cause its an exhibition game!! We should hang around afterward and help clean up a bit (as i'm sure we'll lay down our fair share of rubber)- plus it's Griday night, so what say we just stay up there for the night and hang out with the Indy poloeurs! I'm sure they'd put us up if we asked, plus I have friends in Broadripple we could stay with....and hell, isn't Ryan Yellowbike up there now?

If you have access to a vehicle and are willing to help transport people and bikes, please speak up. At the moment I believe we only have 1 car but 8 people going.

Keith from Indy made up this flyer/info sheet for the match on January 1st. I realize our rules are way more streamlined, but it's a good way for people to figure out what the hell we're actually doing.



So who got polo-related swag for christmas??? I got (myself) a yellow franklin low density ball (finally) and a fancy new hockey-mallet! I know evan is sporting a new crank too. What'd santa bring ya?

Pickup on Monday and Thursday are still a go, but since Thursday is New Year's Eve we should start playing waaay earlier than normal (so we can start drinking sooner). Like 4 to 8? Or 5 to 9?? Gotta practice so we can whip Indy the next day! I mean, of course it's just a friendly match....

Remaining '09 polo dates

We're quickly approaching the end of the decade. Goodbye zeros, hello teens!

No polo on the 24th and 26th as most of us will be spread throughout the Midwest visiting our families.

Monday the 28th and Thursday the 31st are still a go and should be good practice for the exhibition game/s against Indy the next day. Don't forget- January 1st from 4-7pm at the Harrison Center in Indianapolis. We'll probably caravan up there, so just make sure someone knows you're coming and there's a spot in the car.

What about tomorrow night- Monday the 21st?? I'm definitely down, is anyone else?

Monday night under the lights

A good f*cking night- especially for a Monday! Many old faces, a few new ones, lots o' polo.

I'm thinking that by spring (or sooner?) we could be using both sides of the courts. Heavy duty sweeping on those mud spots plus $30 worth of plywood and we could easily have two courts up and running... And didn't someone mention they had hockey goals?

Weather for tomorrow night looks grand- 44 degrees and cloudy- and sounds like there should be a good turnout. Thankfully I don't have to take final exams anymore, but if I did I would totally blow them off to play polo.



Big courts by the hospital were awesome yesterday. Next Saturday we should start real early (like 1pm) just so we have plenty of daylight.


And anyone who's not too hungover on January 1st needs to come play up in Indianapolis. At the Harrison Center from 4 to 7, which looks like some sort of old elementary turned community center? Apparently there's swing dancing later in the evening...not sure what that means, but we get to play polo, so hey i'm there!
