LIGHTNING STRIKES IN ATX!!!
Just checkin in and saying hey and to remind you guys that I haven't forgotten about you.
Man, I wish I could have been at the invitational, it looked like a great time was had by all!
(We gotta keep that sparkleramp tradition going)
Everything in Austin has been great. Great people, great city, and GREAT POLO!
In case you guys were missin me here are a few photos of my new set up...
New bars, new crank, new freewheel with a 20 tooth cog running 32/20
(But as you know, I gotta keep the Lightning)
I think it was a omen from the polo gods that I didn't bring my polo bike and upgraded to what I have now which I'm liking a lot cause I am really use to the feel of my bike(and I can still switch out the back wheel to get to work!)
More photos of games to come of my summer polo camp here in Austin!

god u love non drive side photos
ReplyDeleteDamn that bike looks pretty!
ReplyDeleteFlipflop on the back? You ain't running 32/20 round town, are ya?
Can't wait to see all the photos, you brought your fancy camera, right?
Thanks Zach. I still need to get some different riser bars cause these are a bit too narrow and the brake lever hits the bars a bit when fully pulled, but its definitely a lot better than any polo bike of mine that id ever ridden before
ReplyDeleteActually its not a flip-flop BUT I got the wheel at this awesome place called Yellow Bike. Its a community bike project (just think of the bike project on the most powerful steroids imaginable!.....and then multiply that by a million!!!) There were 12 stands, each with their own work desk complete with all the tools necessary to work on your bike such as 13-17mm wrenches, crank puller, large adjustable wrench, chain breaker, grease, spanners, etc, etc. ALL IN ARMS REACH! and parts galore!! Next time I go I'm gonna take some photos so you guys can drool over them haha (and yea I brought my nice camera so I should be able to get some good shots)
But best of all, the wheel on the back is a 27" Wienmann wheel AND IT STILL HAD THE SHRINK WRAP ON THE RIM!! All I did was true it up a tiny but and made a little donation at the end to show my thanks and I was good to go!
As for riding around town I have my chain at just the right size so I can have it 32/20 for polo at the end of the drops and then for work I put it on the front chainring and ride deep-v to work so its 41/17 which is still pretty good for commuting.
And not that he'll see this but thanks to Miguel for the Oddesy Twisted PC's free of charge that I put on there
...More to come from my Austin adventures!
ps: sorry rinzin, I just think that the bike looks better facing that direction haha
