But, someone stole 1 of our cones. There are 3 at the court right now. Small price to pay, but anyone got a spare at home?

Fun fact: at 5am this morning I was woken up by 2 of my roomates who didn't have their keys. This was their method to get in.

How much rain is too much rain?

So let's take a headcount. I'll play no matter what, but i understand if others don't wanna play in the rain. The mallet-building session at my house is still on for ~7:30pm regardless of if we play- Grant & Dodds (the house with the bike rack and pickup trucks).

If pickup is cancelled we'll probably just move over to travis' and do some planning/logistics for Midwesterns. Oh, and refreshments and revelry, of course.

Don't forget to bring your $10 and sign up for the State Co-op! The money goes directly to our liability insurance so please help out if you can.

How does your money help? We need to secure the insurance before many things can really be planned for the year. Lafayette is currently waiting on the insurance fund so they can secure a great tournament location that could bring in some good players...Help us help you help us all.

Great to see people from Louisville, Lexington, Bloomington, Indianapolis, and Lafayette. All there for some pick-up!

It's wet out. I'm still sore from the weekend. I know this makes me a wuss today. Who wants to play? Let me know if you do, and we'll do it. But I'm thinking not.

Also, production FutureMallets sold here. Those caps don't seem too much, if that's your thing. They want your input on what mallet sizes they should offer. This is a good way to influence what polo products are being offered.

Polo 3 days in a row? I THINK SO!

Hey Y'all. With the weather getting f'n rawesome and Louisville Saturday Polo Party coming at the end of the week, why not capitalize and get some practice in? I'm saying we play Thursday, Friday, and party/play Saturday. 

How about you?

1. We have invited Lafayette and Indianapolis down for Friday night to make the trip to Louisville shorter for both on Saturday. So far, Evan and Joe from Indy are coming down Friday around 7. Zachary is talking to Tyler and Kevin in Lafayette to confirm or deny. Since we have guests coming on Friday, if you are gonna be a wuss and be "too tired" to play 3 days in a row, stay home Thursday night. Then come rage Friday. So consider Thursday a bonus day and Friday to be a normal Thursday. These guys haven't gotten to play in a long time, lets let em stretch them legs.

2. The Louisville guys are meeting up at On Your Left Cycles (618 Baxter Avenue) at 7pm for general hangtime/shop talk/beer. Also I know just down the street at 921 Baxter Avenue is Vic's Classic Bikes. A shop specializing in fixing up old 10 speeds. I would like to head down to Louisville Saturday afternoon and check out these shops. AND THEN RAGE!

3.  Louisville is going to have their Drunken Elephant shirts for sale for $10. Printed on Hanes Heavy Shirts. Support one of the more fun clubs in polo. You can pre order one by sending $10 via Paypal to jimmy@fuckgas.org which will help them pay for them up front. Just add a few bucks if you want it shipped. Tshirts are not cheap to have made!  Jimmy will also have some Fuck Gas.org shirts for $10 as well. Though buy the polo one if you can only get one. If anyone in Bloomington wants one, let me know at pickup Thursday and give me $10. I'll bring one back for ya!

Saturday Night Polo Party in Louisville!

This upcoming Saturday, Louisville is about to throw an awesome party. Why, because that is what those boys do! 

 

Saturday Night Polo Party will be at the Louisville Garage location from 8pm until we head to The Mag Bar. Lexington is confirmed on coming. Indianapolis has shown interest and I have bugged them. Lafayette is bringing a few also. Don't be a wuss and come to this. It will be more fun than you've had in a while, GARUNNTEA!

Talk it out, find a ride, have a good time.

Bench Minor Draft

I'm sure none of you cared, but Zach and I watched the draft live, and had a blast. 

If you aren't sure what I'm talking about, it's Bench Minor. A 6 team, hockey style tournament. There are line changes, tons of action, and long-game strategy. Not to mention it was a draft, meaning TONS OF AWESOME PLAYERS! Zach was our lone man in the draft pool, sadly, he and many other players didn't get picked. Check out the draft results here. If you have ever traveled out of town, I am sure you have met some of these fine people. This is 1 week after that Nomad World Pub Slayerfest in MKE, which I will hopefully get to play in as part of a STL-BLOOM-CAGO team. Now lets see if I can make the trip up north 2 weeks in a row!

I got a Vimeo account so I can post my videos somewhere. On a side note, Vimeo is expensive! I will be recording pretty much most pickup games and every tournament game. Hopefully I get better at this editing thing. Noice night everybody. Let's have plenty more at the courts tonight! Itz gonna be nice. Alright, DonnieKong checked on the courts this afternoon. He says there is water on it, not ice. Hopefully we can get there at 9PM tonight and it will have not frozen. If it does, we'll be in the Jordan Ave Garage. But here's to hoping!

Membership ready for Indiana Bicycle Polo Co-op

Alright everybody, tomorrow is going to be an action packed night! Make sure you come out in full force!

1. Zachary, our State Treasurer/Secretary, has prepared the membership registration and we are ready to sign you up. What this means is, Thursday we will have the membership form for you to fill out. Registration will be $10 for the year and that will go to the Indiana Bike Polo Insurance fund. That will secure all the clubs in Indiana permanent insurance for their respective court locations. Also every tournament held in Indiana.  

2. We have a guest coming to do a film journalism project on, if I'm correct, competitive sports and playing dedication through winter. We will be in the Jordan Ave. parking garage at 9:00PM. Come, have a good time, sign up for the co-op, be a good sport, ride a polo bike. Hopefully there is a clear spot in the cars! 

3. The time is now! Things are coming down the tube at us FAST! Lets step it into high gear and be ready for the clear weather! Get your polo bike running like a well oiled machine! Bring $10 bux for Indiana and Bike Polo!
