95% Chance of No Polo @ 9

And by weather standards that means we're definitely not playing tonight.

If you do ride your bike tonight try to not get struck by lightning in the heavy thunderstorms. While the rain pours down tonight, grab your bike, tune it up, add some better parts, or just build a new one!

So see you all on Thursday when Bloomington should be basking in sunlight again.

Electric Wizards going to ESPI VI

That's right! Zachary, myself, and Will from Lex are gonna do it again! We will be heading with the Louisville Party Van to Philadelphia June 11th and 12th.

Hopefully we can take down some of the East's finest and show em what being raised on corn and blue skies does to ya! This is the regional qualifier for the East, so competition will be great, and we've never really gotten to see how they do it out there. It's about time!

Now if we would've sandbagged South Central's we would'a already be qualified for NAs!
Who doesn't like a little challenge though...

Little 500 Friendlies! Come see the Greatest College Weekend with Us!

If you are a cyclist, no matter what focus, you have got to come to the Indiana University Little 500 at least once in your life! I mean, come on, they made one of the greatest cycling movies about it!

Most of us Bloomington polo players are going to the men's race on Saturday. We are going to have pickup at our courts on campus Friday and Saturday around the race. Seriously, if you have been meaning to see the race, this is the one to see. And why not have a giant polo block in the stands!

The Cutters are seeking their 5th straight win! One of the fastest racers in Little 500 history, Eric Young, is competing in his senior year race before going PRO the day after the race. You don't want to miss this and you'll get a nice little preview of Bloomington before Midwests! Also, our very own Nick Lembo is scheduled to race on team Hoosier Climbers! You'll get to watch the 1st Hardcourt Bike Polo player race in the Little 500!!!!! History abound, good times, great friends, and a billion parties! Plus $10 30 cases of PBR!!!!!!!!!

If that hasn't made you make up your mind, think again!
Email tdavies@umail.iu.edu if you are interested
Tickets available here.

If it's good enough for Dave Stoller, it's good enough for you!

Lafayette Riverside Coverage

Lafayette put their workin' boots on and threw one hell of a spectacle. 18 teams showed up to play on one of the most pristine court surfaces known to man. Players from 6 different states traveled to have a great day of polo. The Hoosier State is the Crossroads of America you know....

This is an overlook from the John T. Myers Pedestrian Bridge that ran next to the courts.

It had rained about 8 separate times the night before the tournament and the courts showed it, despite the effort of several people coming out at 4 am the night before with push-brooms.  Luckily, once the sun topped the trees directly east of the courts they dried within the first swiss round.

Between the members of Apolo-III, Tyler Kevin and Tomás, command central ran like a champ.

There was action all through the tournament. There were teams of every imaginable level of play competing for the trophy (which was awesome Jordan and brother. sorry no photo). Top to bottom, it was there.

Zachary and I were fortunate enough to have Will grace our team, Electric Wizards, for the day. He showed up all the way from Lexington without a team, and at the end of the day, this man was crowned MVP. From laser shots to amazing composure, this man had our backs as a team. We seeded first in the swiss rounds with a +11 differential. Went to the Final Four!
  Thank you Will
And thank you Lexington for lettin this gem slip to our side.

Kevin (not the Apolo-III Kevin, different Kevin) from Lafayette was on hand with an arsenal of cameras to document the day. From videos to stills, I can't wait to see what he has in store.

After a hard fought day, you need to party, and what better to party with than the sponsorship beer of our rivals in our final match! Thanks MKE for giving us a battle that we will remember! Don't worry, we'll be back!

Oh yeah...and uhhh...OUR FLAG DISAPPEARED! Wonder where its at?
